Another Pound just went to the lost and hopefully not found!

Slow progress, but I know now that I’m getting down to the last few lbs it will be slow.  I’m only losing about 1/2 lb a week average, but thats OK, as long as I keep feeling good, and don’t waver, It’ll be easy sailing.  It will be easier with spring weather approching, then I can get out and do more in my yard and such.

I found this fun site, it tells you your “virtual” age and your life expectancy, if you stay on the path you are on.  I don’t know how accurate it is, but it’s interesting to see what factors contribute to a happy healthy life!

My biological Age is 39

My Virtual Age is 17 (I always say I feel 17!  :) )

Average Life expectancy 75

My life expectancy 97

I did good on our vacation, Didn’t splurge too much!!

I’m pretty proud of myself.  We went on a 2 day vacation with the kids to Great Wolf Lodge, swim resort!  We had a blast, I didn’t do much swimming the water was a bit cool, But did some.  We ate out, stuff I wouldn’t normally eat.  I did pack healthy snacks, Carrots, Celery, Cucumbers, Yogurt, to curb those munchy attacks.  I kept it to grillled chicken salads when we went out.  I did have a coffee cake for breakfast.  Anyway I manged to stay in the 1400 calorie range (usually stay around 1200), and I even went to the gym and worked out for 45 minutes as well.  I weighed today and it said I gained 1.3 lbs, But I’m OK with that, knowing last time it told me I lost 2 (and I know that wasnt right), so in reality I lost atleast 1/2 a lb, plus it’s that time of the month, so I expected it to be higher.  In about a week the true weight should be revealed!

Hubby and I are going this weekend to look at home gyms, so I can really get into my workouts.  I can’t wait to start using more than just my dumbells and get a real workout!  Right now I’m just doing 30-45 minutes cardio and 15-30 Weights and excersizes (reverse crunches, armcurls, pushups, squats, lunges, and tricep curls) 6 days a week.  I plan to double the weight workout, when I get the home gym.  With summer getting here I will be getting much of my excersize outside, with the 6 hours it takes to push mow my lawn.  Riding horses, working in the flower garden, and just keeping up with Hubby , the kids, the dogs, and the farm will also keep motivated!!  :D

Here’s wishing everyone a WONDERFUL day!  Remember….It’s a great day to be alive!!  :D

Lost 2 LBS! Must be water, only been 3 days!

  • OK, so I weighed myself as I always do every Thursday and Sunday Morning.  From last Sunday it says I lost 2.7 lbs.  But from Thursday it says I lost 2 lbs., thats only 3 days ago!  Well see if next time my weight goes up, I’m going to attribute this 2 lbs to water!
  •  This week is going to be a hard one. For Spring break we are going to the GreatWolf Lodge for 2 days.  Don’t sound like much, but it’s gonna mean fast food for those two days.  I’m doing my research now to find what would be the best things on the menus to order that wont totally screw up my whole routine.  Wish me luck.  we will be very active while there, they have one of the largest inside swim fun parks, so hopefully anything I do eat, will be worn off in the water!

Olestra Question?

I bought a bag of Lays Potato Chips LITE, the ones made with Olestra…After I got home I read up on what is being said about Olestra.  To sum it up…..”Any benefits of olestra do not outweigh the risks”.  I just wondered what you all have to say about it?  I have not opened the bag, and am thinking about taking it back!

Weighed this morning, and bought bigger Dumbells!

Weighed myself this morning, it’s been four days and I’m down 1/2 a lb, not much, but every little bit helps!  Had a great hard workout last night.  Everyone thinks I’m crazy because I prefer to work out in the evening (after 7PM), rather than in the morning or middle of the day.  Is it that unusual???  Anyway…Went and bought be some 8 lb Dumbells, because the 3 pounders are just not cutting it anymore.  Been looking into some complete home gyms.  I have convinced my husband that it is a worthwhile investment, and promised him that I will not quit using it if we get one.  I think he might even enjoy it as well, once it’s set up!  We both use to be very avid athletes, once upon a time….

I have been feeling great and only been “hungry” a couple times.  Gum comes in real handy!  I do eat 3 small meals a day and every 2 hours have a healthy snack. In the evening I treat myself to a Sugar Free fudgebar (40 cal), if I haven’t reached my 1200 Cal, and I’m wanting a snack, which most of the time I do not.

Stormy Day….No literaly…. No power for 6 hours!

Didnt get much of a work out yesterday, the power went out @ 3PM from highwinds.  Went dance lessons in the evening, did my AB excersises, @ about 10:30, then went to bed.  Hoping to get a good workout in today.  TIRED!! :|

Yeah!! My first loss, 2 lbs!

I weighed myself this morning, same time I usually do.  I don’t weigh in everyday, about every 4th day.  I lost 2 lbs!  Yeah I’m so excited to FINALLY see the results on the scale.  I have been seeing them physically, but its nice to have that confirmation from my friend the Wii!  I have been workingout everyday, cardio for 30 min on the treadmill, then 20 min with the weights.  Thanks guys for your advise, it worked, now I’m really pumped!  Going to dance lessons tonight, then I’ll come home and do my weights.  Have a wonderful SUNDAY!

Research, I am eating too little!! WOW!

I reasearched your responses about me eating too few calories (700) daily.  I didn’t know!!  I thought as long as I was not hungry and my energy was high I was doing really good.  It is going to be hard to increase my calories to 1200, but I will do it.  Can’t imagine eating more food than I do right now!  Sounds so weird!!  Thanks Coolbird30, Maria and khmerbeauty, for opening my eyes!!  Good luck to you guys as well!  You’re doing fabulous!

Feeling good, No Weight change :(

Did good on my eating yesterday, (under 700 calories)  Work out is getting tough.  I love it and look forward to it, but doing the the treadmill just one day without the right socks, and my feet are paying for it now.  Hopefully in a couple days they will be better, and ready to take a “beating”.  Worked out in the yard for a couple hours, the sun feels so good, and such a rare find these days.  Weighed myself….no change from 4 days prior, that was dissapointing.  I have been working so hard, maybe too hard….I can “feel” the results, so I guess that is a good sign.  No temptations yet, still going strong.  Will weigh again on Sunday (every 4 days).

Good Company!

I have only been on this site for a few days, and have only been “dieting” (I hate that term…. “Eating Healthy”) for a week.  I have been sticking to my regimin very well so far, even when my husband has tried to tempt me with, Pringles, and French Fries, I have been able to resist so far with no problems at all…. I don’t want them.  I know my days are coming when I’m gonna want to cave in!!  This is where you have all come into my life.  I have made some great friends and I want to thank eveyone for their encouraging words.  This is the best site ever and I’m so glad I joined.  I have tried to be encouraging to others, it is not easy to resist chocolate (ok, enough mention of such delicious foods…drool, drool), not for me, and I know my days are numbered when I’m gonna wanna quit, give in, or crash.  But knowing you are all here to support me…..I’m not worried!  I know I can do it……and so can YOU!
